Senior Back End Engineer – Affirmative Action for Women

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain essential business microservices — encompassing payment and billing processes, merchant onboarding, and anti-fraud measures.

• Utilize serverless and event-driven architecture, including AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, and DynamoDB Streams.

• Collaborate with product, data, and security teams in an agile setting.

• Engage actively in code reviews, design documentation, and product initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) with TypeScript on the backend.

• Proficient in NestJS (or similar frameworks such as Express/Fastify) with a track record of success on large-scale projects.

• Familiarity with AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, S3, Secrets Manager, and API Gateway.

• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures, focusing on asynchronous messaging, idempotency, and retries/DLQ.

• Preferred (but not mandatory): Experience with Rust.

• Understanding of GraphQL.

• Experience with Step Functions for managing intricate workflows.

• Background in fintech, payments, credit, or collections.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Serverless Framework.
