Senior Azure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Influence the future of our enterprise hybrid cloud network by architecting highly reliable Azure networking solutions that cater to business-critical services across Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

• Observability: Create advanced monitoring solutions utilizing KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor to proactively identify anomalies, track ExpressRoute connectivity, and pinpoint business-critical issues before they escalate.

• Modernize our network security framework by evaluating and challenging current designs, implementing Azure Firewall Premium features, refining our Network Security Group strategy, enhancing micro-segmentation, progressing our environment towards enterprise standards, increasing scalability, and lowering operational expenses.

• Propel the future of infrastructure automation by establishing Infrastructure as Prompt as a vital capability within our platform.

• Your essential mission: Design and implement governance guardrails for our Azure networking platform that can evolve into Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise governance standards.

• Create innovative concepts that facilitate decentralized network management without compromising security.

• Construct an intelligent security platform by integrating Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and advanced network telemetry to automatically detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats before they affect the business.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess extensive expertise in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures.

• You have experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability, equipping you to build intelligent monitoring systems, automate threat detection, and proactively address security incidents.

• You enjoy challenging existing architectures and are enthusiastic about emerging technologies such as Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.

• You excel at evaluating innovative strategies that advance enterprise networking beyond current standards.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking is preferred.

• You have a strong desire to learn new technologies, share knowledge, simplify complex networking concepts for various audiences, and assist other engineering teams in creating secure and scalable solutions.
