Senior Azure Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Designing, constructing, and implementing data pipelines and workflows utilizing Databricks (notebooks) or the Azure Data Platform (Synapse or ADF).

• Developing and enhancing PySpark and SparkSQL for data processing and analytical tasks.

• Familiarity with Delta Table formats (Databricks or Synapse).

• Responsible for ETL design, development, and transitioning existing on-prem ETL routines to Cloud Services.

• Collaborate with senior leaders to comprehend their business objectives and contribute to the successful delivery of workstreams.

• Create and optimize model codes for improved execution speed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a computer science graduate or possess equivalent qualifications with 4 - 7 years of relevant industry experience.

• Experience with Agile-based delivery methodologies is preferred.

• A flexible, proactive, and self-motivated approach with a strong sense of personal accountability in problem resolution.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in formal and informal settings.

• Involvement in all phases of the Big Data solution delivery life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support.

• Ideally, possess client management skills.
