Senior Azure Data Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the United States

• Must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future

• Must be able to successfully complete a background check

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building and supporting enterprise data solutions on Microsoft Azure

• Required hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric implementation in a production setting

• Significant experience in developing data pipelines, lakehouses, and analytical solutions using Microsoft Fabric

• Proven track record of designing and implementing reusable ETL/ELT frameworks and modern data ingestion strategies

• Experience in executing Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures within Microsoft Fabric OneLake production environments

• Strong data modeling expertise, including Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema, and Kimball methodologies

• Skilled in designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Fabric lakehouse architectures for scalability, governance, and performance

• Proficient in SQL and T-SQL for data transformation, validation, and performance optimization

• Highly preferred experience in modernizing or migrating legacy analytics platforms such as R, R Shiny, SSRS, Talend, or similar technologies to contemporary Microsoft data platforms

• Practical experience in developing and orchestrating Spark notebooks and data transformation processes within Microsoft Fabric

• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools

• Familiarity with DataOps methodologies, automated testing, and production deployment standards for enterprise data platforms

• Proficient with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure Synapse, or other Azure data technologies to support comprehensive data platform initiatives

• Experience in integrating data from relational databases, APIs, file-based sources, and enterprise business applications

• Ability to work collaboratively with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

• Experience in agile consulting or professional services environments, demonstrating a collaborative, coach-and-contribute approach

• Adheres to best practices in information security, governance, and operational excellence for cloud-based data environments

• Capable of partnering with client engineers, sharing best practices, and contributing to knowledge transfer while delivering high-quality production solutions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
