This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute a data science strategy that aligns with the strategic goals and objectives of the USMC.
• Collaborate with USMC stakeholders to uncover opportunities for utilizing data in HR processes such as recruitment, retention, training, and performance management.
• Lead the exploration and analysis of extensive datasets to identify trends, patterns, insights, data quality issues, gaps, and potential enhancements.
• Design, develop, and validate predictive models employing machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
• Deploy and sustain scalable, reliable machine learning models in a production environment.
• Create data visualizations using tools like Power BI to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor a team of data scientists.
• Partner with software developers, system architects, and business analysts to integrate data science solutions.
• Implement data validation and cleansing processes to guarantee data quality and accuracy.
• Ensure that data science operations comply with USMC and DoD regulations and security policies.
• Investigate advancements in data science and machine learning, exploring technologies to enhance HR processes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data science processes, models, and outcomes.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• An active Secret security clearance is required.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Strong expertise in the Azure Cloud environment.
• Experience with Azure, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Machine Learning, Databricks, Logic Apps, and AI Foundry.
• Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and PySpark.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar language and SQL for data preparation, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dataverse for data storage and management.
• Extensive experience with data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.
• Strong understanding of database technologies and SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate, is a plus.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
• Must reside within the continental United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
