Senior Azure Cloud Engineer – ET Required

📋 Description

• Design and implement secure, scalable infrastructure within the Azure environment.

• Oversee CI/CD pipelines with an emphasis on security, incorporating Azure Policy enforcement and VM image hardening.

• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to improve the reliability and performance of our systems.

• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and automation tools to guarantee optimal system observability.

• Lead security incident response initiatives within the Azure framework.

• Create and maintain security incident response playbooks while automating responses to reduce impact and recovery time.

• Deploy and uphold tools such as Azure Security Center.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, infrastructure, and IT teams to enhance security practices across both infrastructure and applications.

• Provide expertise in container security, role management, and policy enforcement throughout development workflows.

• Develop automation scripts and workflows utilizing Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Python.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud security and SRE/DevOps roles, particularly in Azure environments.

• Strong automation capabilities with Terraform and Bash scripting; familiarity with Python and Terragrunt is advantageous.

• Understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Proficient in Azure technologies such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Azure App Configuration, and Logic Apps.

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Cosmos DB.

• Familiarity with Azure Governance, including Blueprints, policies, tagging, cost management, and savings plans.

• Strong understanding of monitoring tools, particularly Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Datadog.

• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and similar platforms.

• Proficient in networking technologies including Azure Front Door, Azure WAF, Cloudflare, Azure Firewall, and Azure VNet.

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Ability to create secure, scalable, and highly available multi-region Azure cloud solutions that align with business objectives.

• Knowledge of .NET, Istio, Helm, KEDA, Dapr, and ArgoCD is considered a plus.

• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent.
