AWS Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the assessment of existing cloud infrastructure practices, team capabilities, delivery bottlenecks, and governance gaps within a globally distributed organization.

• Design an operating model for the Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) that outlines ownership boundaries, responsibilities, and escalation paths between central platform and product engineering teams.

• Establish a cross-cutting standards framework for AWS account structure, multi-region strategy, security baselines, resilience, and scalability.

• Develop processes for exception handling and design checkpoints that promote innovation beyond standard patterns without causing bottlenecks.

• Create a transition roadmap and enablement strategies aimed at decreasing product team reliance on the central Cloud team.

• Collaborate with security architects to integrate security guardrails and IAM governance into the CoE framework.

• Offer strategic guidance and manage stakeholders across both technical and executive audiences.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English for daily interactions with our client (please submit your resume in English).

• Demonstrated experience in cloud strategy, architecture, or platform engineering, with an emphasis on operating model design and organizational change.

• Extensive expertise in AWS enterprise architecture, including multi-account strategies, AWS Transit Gateway, IAM management, and governance frameworks.

• Experience in designing Cloud Centers of Excellence or implementing platform engineering transformations in complex organizations.

• Strong grasp of modern platform engineering principles: self-service patterns, golden paths, internal developer platforms, and team topologies.

• Proven ability to define standards frameworks covering security baselines, networking models, IAM governance, and CI/CD patterns.

• Strategic mindset to balance standardization, autonomy, and innovation across diverse engineering teams.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) multi-tenancy, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and cloud-native architectures.

• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and communication with both technical teams and executive audiences.

• Experience working with distributed, international teams in dynamic environments.

• Capability to operate at both strategic (framework design) and tactical (standards documentation) levels.
