Senior AWS Public Cloud Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate design workshops and effectively communicate AWS product capabilities to clients and stakeholders.

• Develop solution design documentation and present technical information.

• Define project scopes and design solutions alongside clients and internal teams.

• Mentor and enhance the skills of team members; act as a technical escalation resource.

• Implement, configure, and enhance AWS environments and solutions.

• Assist in the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of AWS solutions.

• Deliver technical governance and oversight for client engagements.

• Perform peer reviews of technical documentation.

• Establish and uphold technical standards and best practices.

• Contribute to product development and the enhancement of internal capabilities.

• Lead and manage migration projects that transition servers and applications from private cloud or on-premises settings to the AWS public cloud, covering assessment, planning, execution, and optimization.

• Ensure the successful migration of mission-critical workloads, including re-platforming, re-hosting, and modernization as required.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate migration strategies, conduct readiness assessments, and ensure smooth transitions to AWS.

• Work effectively within an international team, collaborating across various time zones and cultures to achieve successful client outcomes.

• Promote and utilize AI-powered tools and solutions in daily operations to enhance efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Expertise in AWS migration tools (Application Migration Service, DMS, Migration Hub, App2Container).

• Proficiency with infrastructure as code and automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, AWS Systems Manager).

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Practical experience with cloud-native and modernization technologies (Lambda, EKS/ECS including Fargate, Docker, Helm, AWS SAM).

• Familiarity with monitoring, security, and optimization tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Trusted Advisor, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, Cost Explorer).

• Scripting and programming skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, JSON.

• Experience with AWS governance and management tools (Control Tower, Organizations, IAM, KMS, Service Catalog, EventBridge, Step Functions).

• Proven experience in migrating servers and applications from private cloud or on-premises environments to the AWS public cloud, including planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.

• Familiarity with migration tools, methodologies, and best practices for cloud adoption.

• Leading technical and executive workshops to design solutions.

• Documenting architecture designs and planning transitions to support.

• Background in DevOps; experience with serverless and container technologies (Lambda, Docker, EKS/ECS including Fargate).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• 7+ years in technology consulting leadership roles.

• 4+ years in AWS technology planning and implementation, with a history of managing large-scale AWS projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required; Master’s Degree preferred.

• At least one Professional-level AWS certification.
