Senior AWS Cloud Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in defining their path towards cloud adoption while offering both technical and strategic advice throughout their 'cloud journey'.

• Consult, strategize, design, and execute Data solutions in the cloud for clients.

• Create implementations for AWS Data Lakes.

• Support customers in deploying Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), account management, and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) bucket strategies, ensuring the effective integration of essential data for a data lake.

• Aid customers in realizing a modern big data lambda architecture, enabling the effective consumption and use of data from both batch and streaming sources.

• Produce high-quality technical materials such as automation tools, reference architectures, and white papers to support customers in their cloud initiatives.

• Facilitate solution development by relaying customer requirements and feedback as contributions to technology roadmaps.

• Assist in creating technical briefs that outline solutions.

• Help with the implementation of reference architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and operating Data / DevOps solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.

• Background in technology or software with customer-facing roles.

• Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, Sagemaker, SageMaker Lakehouse, SageMaker Catalog, and Terraform.

• Experience with database migration processes, specifically Aurora PostgreSQL.

• Proficiency in using Athena, Redshift, EMR, Glue, DataBricks, and/or Snowflake.

• Competence in configuring and managing AWS Glue Data Catalog.

• Skills in Python/PySpark for automating metadata processes.

• Experience in implementing data governance frameworks.

• Development of metadata ingestion pipelines.

• Knowledge of DCAM/DAMA frameworks.

• Understanding of Lake Formation security models.

• Experience in designing enterprise taxonomies.
