This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will be responsible for all interactions with our partners in the Automotive Safety domain for NVIDIA’s DRIVE programs, including DRIVE OS, NDAS, and the Alpamayo software stacks.
• You will assist our partners in architecting, designing, integrating, and launching their automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) products.
• You will collaborate with our partners' safety experts, safety managers, engineering, and testing teams to ensure that their integration of our products adheres to NVIDIA’s guidelines and complies with the latest industry standards and relevant safety regulations (ISO26262, ISO21448, etc.).
• Contribute to the development and ongoing updates of NVIDIA’s safety analysis documents, such as Hazard and Risk Analysis, Development Interface Agreements, FMEAs, Fault Tree Analyses, Safety Cases, and related Safety Plans.
• You will provide input on our partners’ requirements and feedback to guide the development of our upcoming product generations.
• Align on timelines and content for NVIDIA’s safety deliverables, including requirements exchange, impact analyses, safety manuals, and product releases, in collaboration with our partners.
• Additionally, you will monitor and coordinate their actual deliveries while aligning on potential mutual safety assessment scopes and timelines.
• Serve as a primary contact for any safety-related technical inquiries regarding our products, and if necessary, connect our partners with internal experts to address any questions that require deeper insights.
• You will engage with NVIDIA’s hardware, DriveOS, NDAS safety, and process compliance teams.
• A degree from a reputable university or equivalent experience in an engineering or computer science discipline (BS; MS or PhD).
• Over 6 years of professional experience in automotive safety engineering.
• Preferably with a focus on ADAS and Autonomous Vehicles (AV).
• A general understanding of autonomous vehicle systems, sensor technologies, vehicle bus communication standards, system-on-chips (SoCs), and embedded software principles.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO26262, ISO21448, UL4600, GSR, ECE, FMVSS, etc.) as well as engineering standards (A-Spice).
• Basic knowledge of C/C++/Python, QNX, and/or Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, LLMs, Transformers, CPU/GPU architectures, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in participating in safety assessments and/or audits.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, along with effective time management and task prioritization abilities.
• Willingness to regularly attend customer meetings at NVIDIA's partners’ locations.
