This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conducts audits as assigned by the management team, focusing on key business risks, spotting areas for improvement, and developing effective solutions.
• Offers assistance and guidance as needed for carrying out Customs audits.
• Performs compliance audits across various functional groups, processes, and service providers to evaluate the efficiency of internal controls; identifies risks and provides recommendations; prepares thorough work papers and audit reports.
• Collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to pinpoint risks and suggest solutions.
• Compiles departmental metrics.
• Creates and tests new audit programs and procedures.
• Develops and trains Auditors.
• Supervises the audit work of team members.
• Must be at least eighteen years of age or older.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience in compliance auditing of governmental regulations is required.
• Customs Brokers License is mandatory.
• Familiarity with the US Customs and Canadian tariff schedule is essential.
• Understanding of US and Canadian Customs import regulations as well as laws from other governmental agencies is necessary.
