This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee larger, more intricate assurance projects, which include audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Tackle complex accounting challenges such as consolidations, deferred tax calculations, and evaluations of going concern.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other financial reporting frameworks to enhance audit procedures.
• Mentor, oversee, and assign tasks to associates and interns to promote efficiency and team development.
• Evaluate workpapers produced by associates/interns, offer constructive feedback, and verify that conclusions are sound.
• Tailor audit strategies according to identified risks and ensure that audit issues are addressed during both planning and execution.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for any errors or omissions.
• Draft client communications, conduct internal control walkthroughs, and manage client inquiries.
• Assist in developing engagement budgets and track performance against those budgets.
• Engage in effective communication with team members and clients to resolve audit-related concerns and provide updates on project statuses.
• Take part in department-wide training and pursue independent learning to maintain and enhance technical expertise.
• Exhibit strong time management capabilities to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
• Execute additional responsibilities and show adaptability to undertake a variety of tasks assigned by firm leadership.
• Achieve annual billable hour and other targets to meet individual performance goals and contribute to overall firm productivity.
• 3–5 years of experience in assurance-related roles.
• CPA license or eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
• In-depth understanding of audit standards, procedures, and financial reporting frameworks.
• Proficiency in audit-related software and tools.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to supervise and mentor team members effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple engagements efficiently.
• High attention to detail and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
• Analytical skills to navigate complex accounting and assurance issues.
