Senior Associate – Retail Banking Ops, Cards Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the settlement and funding positions of all associations, including daily balancing, reconciliation, and implementing corrective actions.

• Prepare and deliver precise quarterly operating certificates to associations, analyzing trends in expenses and income, and promptly notifying stakeholders of pricing discrepancies.

• Offer coaching and constructive feedback to the team, tailoring approaches to accommodate a multi-disciplinary perspective.

• Supervise UAE switch system reports for balancing and reconciliation across all relevant countries.

• Establish yourself as the product expert in all pertinent areas related to this position.

• Act as the primary point of contact for association guidelines, newsletters, and publications, ensuring timely dissemination to business groups potentially affected.

• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s Compliance and Regulatory protocols, providing adequate training to staff to achieve zero errors and meet expected turnaround times (TATs).

• Maintain management information (MI) to track staff productivity and continuously seek to enhance both individual and overall unit productivity, while ensuring that staff receive necessary job rotation and training for their development and career advancement.

• Foster a collaborative and cooperative atmosphere among staff members to promote team spirit.

• Strive for satisfactory ratings in both internal and external audits for the unit.

• Regularly review the unit’s standard operating procedures, ensuring that change documents are properly maintained and updated.

• Ensure transactions are processed according to the unit’s service level agreements (SLA) while minimizing operational errors and losses. Manage monthly reports including MER, KRI, RCSA, and reconciliation within established timelines.

• Continuously generate innovative ideas and ensure that annual targets for digitization, productivity, and process automation are met.

• Possess knowledge of VAT procedures and their relevance to interchange, settlement, and merchant payments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of general banking principles with substantial experience in merchant onboarding procedures and local policies.

• 3-5 years of experience in the cards domain or multi-disciplinary banking.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office tools, with expertise in management information system (MIS) reporting and analysis.

• Practical experience with any card management system.
