This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create original short- and long-form articles and infographics for publication.

• Leverage subject matter expertise for effective communication and outreach content.

• Adhere to content plans, editorial guidelines, and style standards.

• Assess contributors’ content for scientific accuracy, clarity, audience relevance, quality, and timely submission.

• Offer both qualitative and quantitative insights for evaluating platform content.

• Provide guidance on scientific communication grounded in education, training, and pertinent experience.

• Keep track of communication trends and developments within focal topics.

• Spot opportunities for future content coverage.

• Manage multiple contributors and uphold editorial standards.

• Assist in an internet-based communication and outreach initiative.

• Occasional travel may be required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Political Science, International Affairs, Strategic Studies, Space Studies, or a related field is required.

• Relevant education and experience may be accepted in place of formal degree requirements.

• 5–7+ years of pertinent experience in news editing, editorial production, public diplomacy, international affairs, or similar roles.

• Additional experience can be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.

• Knowledge of Earth sciences and space technology is essential.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Active DoW Secret clearance is preferred; highly qualified candidates who can obtain a clearance may also be considered.

• Possess strong editorial judgment and content quality assurance abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Ability to manage multiple contributors and implement editorial standards effectively.

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• Occasional travel is expected.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week is needed.
