Senior Applications Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Under the general oversight of the Application System Manager, perform analysis and programming to aid in the selection, implementation, and ongoing support of application software.

• Train and orient new employees; manage the scheduling of assigned staff; offer guidance and support to team members.

• Collaborate with personnel from user departments, Information Services staff, and vendors to identify and resolve application system issues.

• Analyze issues and determine the most efficient and cost-effective programming solutions.

• Create specifications for software applications; design, code, test, debug, document, and install software programs.

• Test and refresh software products with new releases.

• Coordinate the testing and installation of new software packages and vendor modifications.

• Modify, maintain, and enhance existing software through maintenance releases, vendor utilities, and innovative use of available Information Services resources.

• Oversee the preparation of manuals and training materials, as well as train user personnel in the use of systems and system modifications.

• Manage intricate Information Services multidisciplinary projects, including project planning, task assignment, and project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• A combination of computer-related technical training and progressively increasing responsibility in information systems management may substitute for a degree.

• Epic Beaker Certification, Epic Orders Certification, and/or any Epic Certification is preferred.

• Experience in laboratory settings: clinically or with lab instruments, interfaces, or other IS Lab support.

• Familiarity with Data Innovations interfaces.

• Understanding of Epic Nephrology, Wound Care, and/or Outpatient Rehabilitation.

• Three years of experience in programming and systems design.
