Senior AP Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and refine automation solutions for Accounts Payable operations utilizing ERP systems, OCR technology, and workflow tools.

• Optimize invoice processing workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.

• Examine, validate, and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in amounts, cost centers, account codes, and tax/VAT calculations.

• Maintain precise Accounts Payable records and oversee payment schedules across various legal entities.

• Conduct vendor reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly and professionally.

• Generate AP aging reports and assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and AP schedules.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements across multiple regions.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, Operations) and external vendors in various countries.

• Actively seek out opportunities for continuous process enhancement and spearhead automation projects.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing precise documentation and clarifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.

• Professional certification such as **CMA, CPA, or CFA** is **highly preferred**, showcasing a strong dedication to professional excellence.

• At least **5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable accounting**, ideally in tech, consulting, or service-oriented organizations.

• Practical experience with ERP or accounting systems.

• **Odoo experience is a strong advantage**.

• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite is highly regarded.

• Proven track record in implementing process automation and enhancing efficiency.

• Strong knowledge of multi-entity and multi-currency environments, including VAT compliance.

• Excellent English communication abilities, both written and oral.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of clear communication and effective issue resolution.

• International experience is preferred; familiarity with or support for teams in **Egypt, KSA, UAE, UK, or Germany** is a significant advantage.
