Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop and create new functionalities for Finom's Android application utilized by entrepreneurs throughout Europe.

• Design and implement solutions for managing multi-account cash flows, banking transactions, payments, card issuance and control, as well as AI-driven accounting automation.

• Construct sleek, responsive user interfaces utilizing Jetpack Compose.

• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability via automated testing and comprehensive code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams to deliver complete solutions.

• Influence technical decisions within the domain and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tools, and mobile development best practices.

• Influence architectural decisions, enhance engineering quality, and mentor fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Android development.

• Proficient in Kotlin; knowledge of Java is an advantage.

• Comprehensive understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Familiarity with presentation-layer patterns such as MVI, MVVM, and MVP.

• Experience with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.

• Proficient in Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Familiar with Retrofit.

• Experience with Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.

• Practical knowledge of Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience with feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient with Git/GitLab and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Nice-to-have: background in fintech or financial products.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with mobile security best practices.

• Nice-to-have: experience in UI performance profiling and optimization.

• Nice-to-have: knowledge of Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.

• Nice-to-have: published applications on Google Play.

• Nice-to-have: an active GitHub profile.

• Nice-to-have: experience with AI agents, LLM tools, and AI-powered IDE tools.

• Nice-to-have: understanding of the capabilities and limitations of models.
