Senior Analytics Engineer – ETL/ELT Focused

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Engage in vendor scoping discussions to finalize comprehensive table and field specifications prior to the commencement of the build phase.

• Design a dedicated datamart within the dbt transformations marts layer, sourcing data from the core order, line item, and customer tables.

• Convert vendor schema specifications into precise internal field mappings, accurately considering DTC-adjusted logic such as ship-to addresses, order dates, and customer granularity.

• Set up Snowflake data sharing and establish connections to enable seamless vendor data ingestion.

• Develop thorough dbt tests and documentation for all implemented models to guarantee long-term data quality and transparency.

• Oversee the complete merge request workflow utilizing GitLab, following stringent peer review protocols before deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven skill in independently executing complex technical requirements with minimal supervision.

• Strong command of SQL, with extensive experience in analyzing source tables related to orders, customers, and attribution models.

• Expert-level knowledge of dbt Core and dbt Cloud, including the creation of mart models and writing MetricFlow-compatible YAML configurations.

• Proficient in Snowflake, particularly in schema design, query testing, and setting up data sharing.

• Demonstrated experience in Analytics Engineering, focusing on the translation of external vendor schemas into internal DTC data models.

• Familiarity with GitLab for branch management and handling merge request workflows.

• Previous experience with marketing mix modeling (MMM) or incrementality vendor integrations is a significant advantage.

• Preferred familiarity with Airflow for pipeline orchestration context.
