Senior Analytics Engineer – ETL/ELT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Engage in vendor scoping sessions to finalize comprehensive table and field specifications prior to the commencement of the build phase.

• Design a specialized datamart within the dbt transformations marts layer, utilizing data from core order, line item, and customer tables.

• Convert vendor schema specifications into precise internal field mappings, accurately reflecting DTC-adjusted logic such as ship-to addresses, order dates, and customer granularity.

• Set up Snowflake data sharing and connections to enable seamless ingestion by vendors.

• Develop thorough dbt tests and documentation for all deployed models to guarantee long-term data integrity and transparency.

• Oversee the complete merge request workflow utilizing GitLab while adhering to rigorous peer review protocols before deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven capability to independently execute complex technical requirements with minimal supervision.

• Strong command of SQL, with extensive experience in analyzing source tables across orders, customers, and attribution models.

• Expert-level proficiency in dbt Core and dbt Cloud, including the development of mart models and writing MetricFlow-compatible YAML configurations.

• Skilled in Snowflake, particularly in schema design, query testing, and data sharing configuration.

• Demonstrated experience in Analytics Engineering, focusing on the translation of external vendor schemas to internal DTC data models.

• Familiarity with GitLab for branch management and merge request processes.

• Previous experience with marketing mix modeling (MMM) or incrementality vendor integrations is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of Airflow for pipeline orchestration is preferred.
