Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements.

• Provide data models that facilitate financial reporting.

• Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Systems teams for collaborative efforts.

• Develop and uphold reliable dbt models.

• Work closely with data analysts to assess reporting needs.

• Implement software engineering best practices in analytics coding.

• Create and maintain comprehensive dbt documentation.

• Engage actively in project scoping, sprint planning, and cross-functional delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics engineering or as a data analyst.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud).

• Proven experience in modeling financial data.

• Familiarity with Finance as a key business stakeholder.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business-facing teams.

• Practical experience with finance SaaS platforms like NetSuite (or similar).

• Understanding of Salesforce quote-to-cash data structures.

• Proficient with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Bigquery, or others).

• Expert-level SQL skills.

• Experience using Git/GitHub.

• Knowledge of layered dimensional modeling concepts.
