Senior Analytics Engineer

Posted Jun 19

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Landing's dbt models, data pipelines, and warehouse architecture.

• Maintain the dbt model library by ensuring models are clean, tested, documented, and aligned with business data utilization.

• Oversee Landing's ELT stack, which includes Stitch, Snowflake, dbt, and related monitoring and orchestration tools.

• Create a finance and operations data spine — the definitive source of truth for core executive KPIs, metric definitions, and warehouse logic.

• Establish analytics engineering standards, make decisions on tooling, and develop a long-term roadmap for the data platform.

• Build and nurture cross-functional data partnerships with Engineering, FP&A, and Accounting, effectively bridging the gap between technical infrastructure and business requirements.

• Uphold data quality standards, implement testing frameworks, and enforce metric governance practices.

• Facilitate executive, board, and investor reporting, where your work will directly influence critical decision-making and fundraising efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence with a strong backend emphasis.

• Proficient in dbt, with experience in production models at scale, including testing, documentation, lineage, and model architecture best practices.

• Strong SQL skills and extensive experience in designing data models for analytical purposes.

• Practical experience with Snowflake (or a similar cloud data warehouse such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Vertica).

• Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines while understanding ELT patterns and source system integration, ensuring reliability.

• Capability to translate technical infrastructure into business context — able to collaborate with FP&A or Accounting, comprehend their needs, and create a deliverable model.

• A commitment to documentation, clarity, and ownership — always leaving things in better condition than found.

• Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities — sound judgment is essential.

• Excellent communication skills — able to articulate a data model to an analyst and explain a pipeline failure to a CFO.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive compensation plus stock options.

• Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Disability, Mental Health, Pet, Commuter, and FSA or HSA.

• 401(k) plan with access to ImmediatePay.

• Generous paid time off (PTO) policy.

• Opportunities for career advancement — we are committed to your growth with us.

• $750 annually for Landing Stays.
