Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will develop the Data Warehouse from a functioning MVP landscape into a scalable, robust, and future-proof platform.

• You will take technical ownership of the Data Warehouse, advancing its architecture, data models, and quality standards deliberately.

• You will strategically utilize dbt: from modular modeling to testing, documentation, and refactoring, as well as creating reusable patterns with Jinja, while establishing best practices within the team.

• You will enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our Redshift-based warehouse.

• You will develop new data pipelines and, together with the team, ensure their clean orchestration and stable operation in Airflow.

• You will contribute best practices in governance and observability, further developing standards for data quality, ownership, monitoring, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role.

• Strong SQL skills, familiarity with dbt, and expertise in data modeling, complex transformations, and performance optimization.

• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or comparable technologies.

• Knowledge of Airflow, monitoring, and the stable operation of data workflows would be ideal.

• Curiosity about business processes, thinking in terms of data products and standards, and a commitment to actively shaping governance, quality, and transparency of a data platform.
