Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines;

• Engage with Lakehouse architectures;

• Operate within GCP and Databricks environments;

• Develop and enhance data structures in BigQuery and Delta Lake;

• Assist in defining and implementing dimensional and relational modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake, etc.);

• Ensure the quality, consistency, and security of data;

• Aid in performance and cloud cost monitoring efforts;

• Collaborate with business units and data teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with Cloud platforms (GCP);

• In-depth knowledge of BigQuery:

• Data modeling;

• Query optimization;

• Performance tuning;

• Familiarity with GCP data services:

• Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage (preferred);

• Strong command of advanced SQL;

• Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for:

• Data transformation;

• Versioning;

• Implementing analytical best practices;

• Experience with Databricks:

• Creating data pipelines using Spark (PySpark/SQL);

• Modeling and transformation within a Lakehouse environment;

• Workload orchestration and performance enhancement;

• Integration with contemporary data architectures (Delta Lake, medallion architecture);

• Understanding of data ingestion:

• Batch and streaming;

• Experience with data transformation and modeling:

• ELT/ETL;

• Dimensional modeling and/or Data Vault;

• Awareness of data governance:

• Data catalog;

• Data lineage;

• Access and security policies;

• Experience with data quality:

• Automated testing (dbt tests or similar);

• Monitoring and observability of pipelines;

• Experience transitioning legacy systems to the Cloud;

• Knowledge of:

• Code versioning (Git);

• CI/CD practices applied to data pipelines;

• Familiarity with modern concepts:

• Data Products;

• Data Mesh (preferred).
