This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain dbt models from staging to marts utilizing version control, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and thorough documentation.
• Create and uphold modeling standards, naming conventions, and a well-documented, tested codebase.
• Transition BI-tool calculated fields and manual SQL into governed, reusable, version-controlled models.
• Establish and manage the semantic layer, defining certified single-source-of-truth metrics such as ARR, MRR, paying customer count, retention, and GTM/funnel metrics.
• Coordinate metric definitions, granularity, and ownership with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Marketing teams.
• Develop a repeatable process for delivering data products from initial landing to certification and exposure.
• Provide Revenue, Customer Identity, and Funnel data products with specified schemas, granularity, ownership, tests, and lineage.
• Facilitate auditable financial-reporting revenue models and ensure they align with Finance source figures.
• Execute data-quality checks, testing, and monitoring for observability.
• Create clear lineage and documentation for human readability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Finance, Revenue Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
• Develop AI-ready data models for downstream automation and self-service analytics.
• Over 8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Proficient in advanced SQL with experience in constructing production-grade, thoroughly tested analytical data models.
• Strong practical experience with dbt, including staging-to-marts modeling, tests, macros, documentation, and CI/CD processes.
• Direct hands-on experience using dbt in a modern cloud data warehouse environment; Snowflake experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with a semantic or metric layer such as dbt Semantic Layer/MetricFlow, Cube, LookML, or similar frameworks.
• Experience applying Git-based version control, code review, testing, and CI/CD methodologies to analytical tasks.
• Solid foundation in dimensional and/or domain-driven data modeling.
• Capability to define metrics and business logic from vague requirements.
• Self-motivated individual able to drive projects from start to finish in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain significant working-hours overlap with teams in the US Pacific time zone.
• Bonus qualifications: experience with financial reporting, public-company metrics, SOX-compliant data, GTM/revenue/subscription systems, Tableau/Tableau Next, Python, Airflow/Dagster, Fivetran, and modern AI tools.
• Base salary range of $160,000–$185,000.
