Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in developing pipelines and products that are crucial for the 2026 midterms.

• Ensure the maintenance and validation of early voting and vendor data pipelines.

• Manage core data products that transform raw, multi-sourced data into scalable usability.

• Construct and support ETL infrastructure to provide accessible, precise, and actionable data.

• Incorporate Census data for the data science team.

• Create voter contact data models tailored for campaigns.

• Develop analytics products designed for decision-makers.

• Enhance and sustain data observability through data contracts, SLAs, and automated testing.

• Collaborate with the Analytics Engineering Lead, Product Manager, and fellow data team members.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support the department and the mission of the DNC.

⛳️ Requirements

• Write clear, organized SQL and design reusable data pipelines.

• Experience with large, complex datasets that were initially disorganized.

• Proficient in using DBT or Airflow to construct and uphold production workflows; similar tools include Dagster, Databricks, AWS Glue, or Dataform.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery and GCS.

• Understanding of ETL infrastructure and data pipeline processes.

• Capability to articulate technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

• A pragmatic and flexible approach to handling imperfect data.

• Experience thriving in fast-paced settings with changing priorities.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.

• U.S. citizenship or U.S. green card holder status is required due to federal campaign finance regulations.

• Willingness to work weekends as necessary.

• Knowledge of DBT, SQL, Google BigQuery, GCP, Python, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, HashiCorp Terraform, Pulumi, LLMs, Gemini, and Claude.
