Senior Analyst – Technology Infrastructure, Storage and Backup

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• TEHORA is actively looking for a Senior Technology Infrastructure Analyst with a focus on storage and backup, possessing substantial experience in managing data storage and backup solutions.

• The ideal candidate will engage in the design, maintenance, support, and advancement of hardware and software storage and backup infrastructures for one of our public sector clients.

• Oversee and enhance all elements of the storage infrastructure (SAN and NAS data storage).

• Manage and uphold the corporate data copy/backup solution.

• As a specialist in data storage products (SAN and NAS) and copy/backup solutions, offer consulting services, provide recommendations, and address business-area concerns during meetings and workshops related to IT projects.

• Offer insights and identify issues during analysis and design phases regarding the migration of workloads to a cloud platform.

• Develop and maintain up-to-date operational documentation for upgrades and enhancements under their purview.

• Notify the project manager of any incidents or issues related to storage and backup infrastructures, escalate them to the responsible vendors for maintenance, and ensure proper follow-up.

• Guarantee the availability, stability, and performance of the infrastructures under their oversight by utilizing available management and monitoring tools, aligning with the organization's requirements.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to personnel designated by the client.

• Carry out any other responsibilities typical of a technology infrastructure analyst.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in information technology, including eight (8) years as a technology infrastructure analyst.

• This experience must include five (5) years in senior roles providing guidance and directly contributing to the operation, architecture, maintenance, and support of storage infrastructures (SAN, NAS) or backup/copy solutions.

• Completion of two assignments, each lasting at least 50 person-days, focused on storage (NAS or SAN) or a copy/backup solution.

• Experience in operating a cloud data storage solution with features comparable to Microsoft Azure.

• Strong understanding of modern architectures, hybrid environments, and integration challenges.

• Capability to clearly document assumptions, constraints, risks, and architectural decisions.

• An analytical mindset, methodological rigor, and a client-oriented approach.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French.
