This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Conduct research, analysis, writing, and presentations on policies pertaining to child care, paid leave, and broader family policy matters for IW.
• Create insightful policy materials that foster support for flexible, family-oriented policy solutions.
• Act as a resource whenever IW's family policy initiatives or the organization as a whole require assistance regarding child care, paid leave, and family economic security issues.
• Strive to further IW's mission and embody core values, demonstrating teamwork and a solid understanding of the family policy landscape.
• Concentrate on providing support to IW's policy team, as well as to current policy experts and staff.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to convert complex policy into clear, persuasive content;
• A deep interest in family policy, encompassing child care and paid leave;
• A positive attitude and a robust self-driven work ethic;
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience;
• Ability to work remotely with minimal daily supervision;
• Openness to occasional travel throughout the year as required.
