Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance – FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain comprehensive 3-statement financial models with projections spanning five years.

• Take ownership of scenario and sensitivity analyses connected to essential business drivers.

• Convert strategic initiatives into measurable financial outcomes.

• Maintain an updated universe of comparable public fintech, brokerage, and wealth management firms.

• Examine peer 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and earnings call transcripts.

• Generate valuation benchmarks to guide internal capital allocation decisions.

• Construct both bottoms-up and top-down Total Addressable Market (TAM) frameworks across various product verticals.

• Assess market opportunities utilizing primary regulatory, census, and industry data.

• Assist in defining and stress-testing critical performance metrics.

• Act as an analytical resource for board materials and executive presentations.

• Assess capital allocation choices in relation to our investment framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, transaction advisory, or strategic finance (or a similar level of intensity).

• Proficiency in constructing an integrated 3-statement model from the ground up.

• Strong familiarity with public company filings (10-K, 10-Q, proxy, S-1).

• Knowledge of capital allocation, return thresholds, and economic trade-offs.

• Excellent skills in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with SQL or BI tools is advantageous but not essential.

• Capable of working independently and being self-sufficient.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• A genuine interest in fintech, capital markets, or financial services.
