This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Implement IT General Controls and conduct IT application control testing, delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with departmental and professional standards while ensuring that walkthroughs and testing are completed promptly and within budget.
• Assist the Senior Manager in developing the IT SOX testing program and foster positive cross-functional relationships with control owners.
• Identify control deficiencies and potential issues, propose viable solutions to the business to address these gaps, and secure management action plans for remediation.
• Employ audit sampling and testing methodologies that align with industry and departmental standards.
• Assess whether the controls selected for testing effectively support key SOX objectives and expectations regarding risk mitigation.
• Utilize tools like Excel and data analytics software (e.g., SAS) to efficiently and effectively carry out control testing procedures.
• Provide periodic updates and test results to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct and document issue validation, closing audit findings as necessary.
• Enhance internal audit expertise through continuous professional development, including actively pursuing certifications in internal auditing.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and/or special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 3+ years of overall experience, or alternatively, a minimum of 5+ years of overall experience without a degree.
• At least 3+ years of experience in IT SOX audit or in an industry setting with SOX 404 regulatory requirements specific to the IT audit environment.
• Familiarity with the Sarbanes Oxley Act Section 404 and control frameworks (COSO, COBIT) as well as auditing standards.
• Proficient in technical IT auditing skills and capable of navigating a complex environment with a large number of in-scope applications and various technology platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
