This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Accurately process a high volume of supplier invoices while adhering to company policies.
• Execute three-way matching for purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Prepare and manage payment runs via BACS, CHAPS, and cheque.
• Assist AP Analysts with non-standard processes and handle escalations.
• Provide necessary documentation for both internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to VAT regulations and relevant financial guidelines.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
• Present information to superiors and colleagues outside of the AP team.
• Resolve supplier and internal escalations using sound judgment and prior experience.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues.
• Mentor less experienced team members through challenging or non-standard situations.
• Execute delegated tasks on behalf of the P2P Manager.
• Identify, assess, and lead the implementation of process enhancements.
• Take corrective measures and recommend solutions for any errors or issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounts payable function.
• Proficient in Excel with basic data analysis capabilities, including Pivot, Filter, and VLOOKUP.
• Familiarity with Outlook and Word.
• Ability to create basic PowerPoint presentations.
• Experience with SAP ECC6 or S/4 and VIM, or a comparable ERP system.
• Understanding of UK domestic VAT rates: Standard, Reduced, Zero Rated, and Exempt.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and non-AP colleagues.
• Capability to mentor less experienced team members.
• Ability to handle escalations and support non-standard business processes.
• Skills to identify and implement process improvements.
