Senior Analyst, NOC

Posted 9 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take charge of incident detection and initial response for availability, performance, and health alerts across APIs, websites, databases, fax/SFTP/SMS services, and the platform services our teams oversee.

• Analyze degradations and outages: determine the scope, provide the necessary context, and assist the responsible teams in resolving issues with precise, accurate information.

• Record incidents as they occur and develop post-incident summaries and root cause analyses (RCAs) that facilitate organizational learning.

• Establish, fine-tune, and sustain alerts that deliver essential signals to teams while minimizing unnecessary noise.

• Construct and enhance synthetic probes for both production and pre-production environments.

• Design dashboards that offer internal teams and Strategic Account Management valuable, actionable insights into platform health.

• Detect gaps in observability posture and suggest appropriate solutions.

• Create and maintain automation runbooks to alleviate manual workloads.

• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline for operational automation.

• Continuously advance AI-assisted workflows as tools and practices evolve — treating it as an ongoing practice rather than a one-time project.

• Generate monthly operational reports and platform availability metrics utilized by Strategic Account Management.

• Monitor and update KPIs, SLA metrics, and compliance documentation (SOC 2).

• Oversee vendor-related tasks including certificate renewals and compliance obligations, providing clear status updates.

• Share operational insights and close feedback loops across teams, ensuring a strong connection between monitoring, application support, and stakeholder communication.

• Investigate failure patterns — such as SQL errors, API issues, and service outages — and document findings comprehensively.

• Map dependencies when integrating new systems into the NOC.

• Stay informed about technological changes impacting the stack and proactively identify risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with cloud infrastructure; proficiency in Azure is mandatory.

• Practical experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms (e.g., Sumo Logic, Azure Monitor, OpsGenie, or similar).

• Capability to read and comprehend automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent) — comfortable tracing logic and understanding script functions, even if not writing them from scratch.

• Sufficient systems intuition to reason across layers — understanding how applications communicate with databases, how traffic navigates networks, and how on-premises and cloud components interact. You won't be an expert in all areas, but you'll grasp how the components fit together.

• Experience with web services and APIs, including troubleshooting availability and performance challenges.

• Familiarity with Jira and Jira Service Management for managing operational workflows and ticket tracking.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear operational documentation and effectively communicating during incidents.

• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams with shared responsibility and clear accountability.

• Preferred:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and operational automation within a cloud environment.

• Knowledge of healthcare technology, specialty pharmacy, or regulated environments.

• Experience with SOC 2 compliance evidence collection or similar compliance frameworks.

• Comfort with using and evolving AI-assisted workflows in an operational setting.

• Familiarity with SQL Server health monitoring or fundamentals of database observability.

• Background in DevOps or SecOps, or experience working closely with those disciplines.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive compensation structure.

• Matching 401(k) plan with immediate vesting.

• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance.

• AssistRx, Inc. is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer.
