This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• In the role of Senior Analyst – Development, you will be tasked with designing and executing thorough analytics projects aimed at assessing and conveying performance across various fundraising channels, particularly concentrating on email and SMS/text messaging.
• This position will act as the subject matter expert in email and text performance, collaborating closely with Marketing, Fundraising, and Data teams to create measurement frameworks, which include experimentation and test-and-learn measurement approaches.
• Your analyses will guide program, channel, and audience strategies, assisting business stakeholders in comprehending impacts, risks, and potential opportunities.
• Carry out essential quantitative and qualitative analyses of fundraising initiatives, encompassing email and SMS/text campaigns, to inform and bolster strategic choices.
• Develop engaging, data-driven narratives with actionable insights that reflect a profound understanding of development strategies, lifecycle marketing, and performance drivers.
• Offer insights into current and future performance trends through in-depth analytical projects, which include experimentation measurement.
• Lead discussions on performance with strategy and campaign stakeholders to promote informed, data-driven decision-making.
• Act as the analytics subject matter expert for email and SMS/text channels, spearheading the creation of performance and measurement frameworks, which include consistent metric definitions, experimentation design, and evaluation methodologies.
• Collaborate with marketing partners, strategy stakeholders, campaign architects, data scientists, and data engineers to convert business inquiries into scalable analytical solutions, dashboards, and measurement frameworks.
• Simplify complex business requirements and analytical findings into intuitive visual formats that reveal patterns, trends, and opportunities.
• Effectively communicate insights through various visualization formats tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Enhance or create self-service analytics tools, such as dashboards, scorecards, or forecasting tools, utilizing a solid grasp of development and lifecycle marketing strategies.
• Contribute to the cultivation and maintenance of data infrastructure and integrity to facilitate meaningful donor and prospect experiences, actively participating in data governance and Data Steward communities.
• Promote ongoing learning within the Development Analytics team by sharing subject matter expertise through mentorship, documentation, and training sessions.
• Collaborate on cross-functional analytical initiatives to expand understanding of the impacts of development strategy.
• Leverage strong communication skills and curiosity to forge trusted partnerships across business teams.
• Represent ALSAC–St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital positively, embodying our commitment to excellence in fundraising and support for our mission.
• A minimum of 3 years in marketing or development analytics, concentrating on lifecycle marketing analytics, email and SMS/text performance measurement, and experimentation and test-and-learn measurement frameworks.
• Direct experience in measuring email and SMS/text programs at scale, including performance reporting, metric definition, and experimentation analysis.
• A proven history of driving measurable performance enhancements and influencing strategy through trusted collaboration, clear communication, and intellectual curiosity.
• Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Intermediate SQL coding experience, particularly with querying MSSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CRM/CDP platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Experience with texting platforms like Hustle and Mobile Commons.
• Proficiency in analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and Tableau.
• Skilled in data preparation and transformation tools such as Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
• Experience in developing dashboard visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, SAP, or comparable BI tools.
• Understanding of data pipelines and analytical workflows that support scalable reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities for both internal and external audiences.
• Ability to comprehend and execute complex verbal or written instructions.
• Capacity to thrive and effectively collaborate in a matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear, understandable insights for non-technical business partners.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (e.g., Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Data Science), or equivalent relevant experience of at least 3 years.
