Senior Amazon Connect Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that support frontend applications and enterprise integrations.

• Create and optimize DynamoDB schemas, indexes, and data access patterns for scalable applications.

• Develop and manage Python-based AWS Lambda functions for business logic and automation.

• Modify, enhance, and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows and routing logic.

• Collaborate with UI development teams to translate business requirements into backend services and APIs.

• Work directly with Amazon Professional Services on initiatives related to Amazon Connect implementation and enhancement.

• Design and support event-driven architectures utilizing AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway.

• Support and optimize data flows across AWS services and integrated systems.

• Implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native solutions.

• Troubleshoot application, integration, and infrastructure issues across AWS environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery.

• Participate in production support activities and occasional after-hours deployments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of hands-on experience with AWS.

• More than 4 years of experience with Amazon Connect, including contact flows, routing, queues, and integrations.

• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly in the development of AWS Lambda functions.

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend integrations.

• Strong understanding of DynamoDB schema design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization.

• Experience in designing and supporting cloud-native and event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and business teams.

• Experience in Agile development environments.

• Nice to have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Experience in converting AWS CDK or CloudFormation templates into Terraform.

• Experience with IBM ODM.
