Senior AI Tooling Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced triage tools and systems powered by AI, primarily utilizing Python.

• Assess, integrate, and provide thorough feedback on servers and clients of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect LLMs with clients' internal databases and deliverables.

• Create, implement, and optimize agent capabilities, custom tool integrations, and multi-agent workflows to automate complex triage tasks.

• Utilize and encourage the use of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM APIs) to accelerate development cycles and uphold high code quality.

• Stay informed about the rapid advancements in Generative AI, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks to continuously evolve our triage solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and professional certification in Computer Systems Engineering, Software, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience using Python, including writing clean, modular, and asynchronous code, managing dependencies, and utilizing modern packaging and testing frameworks.

• Active experience using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot and LLMs to speed up development, refactor code, and write tests, with a solid understanding of prompt engineering applied to software.

• Strong experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, gRPC, or other communication protocols to integrate various systems and data sources.

• Proficient in Git for version control, including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative work.

• Strong commitment to clean code principles, ensuring that code is readable, maintainable, self-explanatory, and well-tested.

• Experience building and orchestrating LLM agents using custom multi-agent frameworks or architectures.

• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, or integrating MCP servers and clients to expose business knowledge and tools to LLMs.

• Experience working with commercial and open-source LLM APIs, as well as with vector databases for Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions.

• Familiarity with Triage System processes, incident management, and root cause analysis in large-scale engineering environments or the automotive sector (desirable).

• Advanced English proficiency (essential).
