Senior AI Product Builder – Transportation Technologies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the entire product lifecycle independently: AI-enhanced discovery → story/spec → prototype → production PR → outcome assessment. You are responsible for the results, not merely the transition.

• Engage in customer discovery and utilize AI tools to synthesize research from tickets, interviews, behavioral data, and competitive insights.

• Exhibit comprehensive functional and technical knowledge of the products you manage from start to finish. Conduct demonstrations for merchants and partners; grasp the competitive landscape and key differentiators.

• Leverage AI tools to assess product metrics, identify usage trends, and highlight anomalies. Establish success metrics and kill thresholds during the specification process without needing guidance.

• Maintain a prioritized roadmap organized by impact and speed. Utilize AI tools to integrate competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer insights into strategic planning.

• Assess whether a proposed solution aligns with ShipBob's architecture without needing Engineering translation. Understand service boundaries, data structures, and how merchant and partner API interactions shape data agreements.

• Direct changes through the prototype-then-PR process. Compose clear story/specs and review AI-generated code before submission. Consistently improve PR promotion rates.

• Formulate experiment hypotheses with clear kill thresholds. Make day-7 rollout/kill decisions based on AI-sourced data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in product management, product engineering, or a related field, with proven hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional setting.

• Demonstrated ability to write story/specs that are directly actionable by AI tools — including state machines, business rules, data contracts, and edge cases — not narrative PRDs.

• Technical proficiency: capable of reading data models, evaluating API contracts, and recognizing when AI-generated code diverges from the intended architecture.

• Proven history of delivering working prototypes or production code, rather than merely Figma mocks or slide presentations.

• Strong sense of outcome ownership: establishes success metrics and kill thresholds at the specification stage and monitors them post-launch.

• Experience in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, transportation, or e-commerce technology.

• Comfortable operating within a fail-fast culture. Rapidly admitting mistakes is encouraged here — taking too long to appear correct is viewed as a failure.

• Excellent written communication skills: you produce specs, not meeting notes.
