This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for designated AI platforms across multiple Aprio business sectors.
• Convert intricate domain and practice requirements into concise, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
• Oversee the entire development lifecycle — including scoping, sprint planning, quality assurance, and rollout — while managing both onshore and offshore development resources.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, tax accountants, and other cross-functional teams to enhance and deliver the platforms.
• Prioritize features, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term scalability and maintainability of the platform.
• Conduct structured requirements-gathering sessions with subject matter experts in the relevant practice or business domain.
• Clearly communicate project status, risks, and decisions to both practitioners and firm leadership.
• Act as the primary point of contact for designated platforms, ensuring outcomes are managed with transparency.
• Leverage generative AI capabilities pertinent to professional services — including LLMs, document intelligence, agentic workflows, and structured output generation.
• Test and validate AI models, APIs, and tools (such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI) for seamless integration into Aprio's platforms.
• Uphold responsible AI practices, taking into account data privacy, data residency, and client confidentiality considerations (e.g., §7216 consent where applicable).
• Minimum of 5 years in product management, technology, operations, or consulting, with a proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder initiatives from start to finish. At least 2-3 of those years should involve working on SaaS products (either internal or external facing).
• Solid understanding of product management fundamentals, including roadmapping, backlog ownership, sprint planning, acceptance testing, and release coordination.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms, including practical experience in prompting and testing AI APIs.
• Capability to swiftly learn new domains and articulate complex workflows into product requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both professionals and executives.
• Experience in coordinating software development resources, including offshore or contract developers.
• Background in public accounting or professional services is preferred.
• Knowledge of agentic AI workflows, RAG architectures, or LLM integration patterns.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (including SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform).
• Awareness of relevant domain software ecosystems (e.g., for tax: CCH Axcess, GoSystems, TaxCaddy).
