Senior AI Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Scale the Ecosystem: Enhance and sustain our Kubeflow, Feast, and Spark-on-Kubernetes infrastructure to manage the growing complexity of traditional ML alongside emerging AI technologies.

• Build for Autonomy: Develop internal tools, APIs, and abstractions that enable distributed teams to take full ownership of their lifecycle—transforming our data culture from a "centralized bottleneck" into a model of "self-service excellence."

• Standardise Engineering Excellence: Collaborate with embedded Data Science teams to integrate software engineering best practices (CI/CD, versioning, testing) tailored to ML workflows, elevating the standards for production-grade AI across the organization.

• Seamless Lifecycle Orchestration: Champion MLOps best practices and delineate the specific lifecycle needs for LLMOps, facilitating a smooth transition from experimental notebooks to reliable, production-ready solutions through exceptional deployment frameworks and automation.

• Cross-Squad Collaboration: Work closely with our Infrastructure and Data teams to dismantle silos and incorporate ML artifacts into our global Data Catalog, Privacy, and Governance frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Platform-as-a-Product Mindset: You view our AI infrastructure as a product, with a keen focus on Developer Experience (DX) and ongoing feedback loops.

• Collaborative Architect: You excel at balancing the autonomy of distributed teams with adherence to global platform standards.

• Pragmatic Innovator: You emphasize robust, scalable production solutions while remaining aware of the latest concepts and practices.

• Systems Thinker: You appreciate the overall context, recognizing the importance of integrating ML infrastructure with wider data cataloging and governance.

• Extensive experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Crossplane), and Observability.

• Proficient hands-on expertise with the Kubeflow platform, Spark engine, AWS ecosystem, and Kubernetes.

• Strong Python capabilities, concentrating on developing reusable libraries, APIs, and tooling abstractions.

• Ability to collaborate with Data Science teams to convert intricate use cases into scalable "paved road" solutions.
