Senior AI Engineer – RAG, AI Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the entire development lifecycle — from concept to architecture, implementation, testing, and delivery of real-world AI products.

• Design and create robust AI systems, including Iris.ai’s proprietary Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and LLM Evaluation Frameworks utilized by top R&D teams.

• Foster innovation by experimenting with new methodologies and integrating cutting-edge AI research into production.

• Collaborate across various teams — partner closely with researchers, product managers, and fellow engineers to develop and launch impactful features.

• Construct systems for performance and reliability, ensuring they are scalable, testable, and maintainable.

• Contribute to a global mission aimed at transforming how the world engages with scientific knowledge and applied AI.

• Excel in a remote-first, agile environment, making significant contributions within a distributed, deep-tech team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years focusing on Python.

• Strong background in web backends (Django/Flask), REST APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with ML systems or a strong desire to deepen your knowledge in this area.

• Capability to work in a remote-first, collaborative setting.

• Proficiency in English.
