Senior AI Engineer – Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, construction, and maintenance of scalable machine learning infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as AWS Sagemaker for effective model training and deployment.

• Collaborate with product teams to create MVPs for AI-driven features, ensuring rapid iterations and market testing to effectively refine solutions.

• Develop and improve monitoring and alerting frameworks for machine learning models to guarantee high performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.

• Assist the marketing team in utilizing AI, focusing on the cross-departmental impact of AI/ML models, including advanced Generative AI solutions for various applications.

• Provide production support by offering expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to machine learning models in production, and participate in on-call rotations for operational troubleshooting and incident management.

• Design and scale machine learning architecture to accommodate rapid user growth, leveraging extensive knowledge of AWS and ML best practices for robustness and efficiency.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to enhance overall team skills through knowledge sharing and collaborative efforts.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in machine learning technologies and AWS services, promoting the adoption of innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics, Physics, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential; candidates should be adept at leveraging AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, showcasing success in deploying scalable ML models within a production environment.

• Extensive expertise in one or more of the following domains: machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, artificial intelligence, or related technical areas.

• A solid track record of developing machine learning models from conception to business impact, illustrating the capability to tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions.

• Proficiency in Python is mandatory, with experience in Golang considered an advantage.

• Demonstrated technical leadership in guiding teams, managing end-to-end projects, and establishing technical direction to efficiently achieve project objectives.

• Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and utilizing SQL for data exploration.

• Strong familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly in deploying and managing machine learning solutions and scaling them cost-effectively.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for the efficient deployment and management of ML models.

• Comfortable using monitoring and observability tools designed for machine learning models (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch) and experienced in developing recommender systems or enhancing user experiences through personalized recommendations.

• A solid foundation in data processing and pipeline frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka) for managing real-time data streams.
