This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• In this project, you will collaborate with our client, a prominent American private equity and investment management firm listed in the Fortune 500, located in New York. Our support focuses on infrastructure and data platforms, including the development of AI systems within this framework. The client operates across various sectors, including finance, credit, investments, and real estate.
• Snowflake serves as the primary data warehouse. A significant portion of your tasks will commence with data that resides there and culminate in an AI-driven system relied upon by the client's teams.
• Your responsibilities will include:
• - Designing and delivering LLM-powered applications, including prompt pipelines, RAG, retrieval, and evaluation, transitioning from validated proofs of concept to production.
• - Developing MCP servers that provide data and services to AI agents and applications.
• - Establishing the security and authentication layers around these services, including enterprise authentication, custom IdP integrations, and OAuth/OIDC flows.
• - Integrating external APIs and converting them into services such as web services, traditional APIs, or basic user interfaces.
• - Incorporating LLM providers, including OpenAI and others, into client systems.
• - Constructing semantic search and retrieval functionalities using vector databases like Pinecone.
• - Querying, processing, and analyzing data in Snowflake with SQL and Python, preparing datasets that support AI features and analytics.
• - Contributing to data pipelines as needed; while other team members manage them daily, your involvement will be occasional.
• - Documenting design decisions prior to implementation.
• **AI / LLM**
• - Practical experience in integrating LLMs into production environments, including provider APIs, embeddings, RAG, and vector semantic search.
• - Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone or similar technologies.
• **Python and data**
• - Proficient in Python, with a strong grasp of the typical Python data stack for data analysis and processing.
• - Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake; expect substantial querying, processing, preparing, and analyzing tasks.
• **Infrastructure and web services**
• - Good foundational knowledge in AWS (EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, etc.), Terraform, and Docker. While you don't need to be the foremost expert, actual experience and familiarity with these technologies are essential.
• - Experience in consuming and integrating external APIs.
• - Background in building web services, APIs, or simple user interfaces.
• **General**
• - Over 5 years of professional engineering experience.
• - An undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• - Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments; your workstation operates on Windows, and part of the server infrastructure does as well.
• - Proficient in English at a C1 level or above, both spoken and written.
• - Excellent technical writing skills; you document decisions and proactively ask questions to prevent issues before they arise.
• Additional advantages include:
• - Experience with LLM fine-tuning.
• - Familiarity with MCP and MCP-based integrations.
• - A background in statistics or machine learning, including training and evaluating basic models using scikit-learn or PyTorch.
• - Experience with agent frameworks.
• - Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC flows.
• - Familiarity with Airflow and dbt.
• - Experience with FastAPI or other Python web frameworks.
• - Knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript, along with frameworks like Next.js or React if UI development is of interest to you.
• - **Engaging work, not trivial tasks.** You will be involved in creating systems that support investment decisions for one of the world's largest investors, rather than just building another chatbot.
• - **True autonomy.** Once objectives are established, you will have full ownership of the delivery process, with no unnecessary layers between you and your work.
• - **Collaboration at a senior level.** You will work in a small team with direct access to client stakeholders, enabling real decision-making without filler meetings.
• - **Growth linked to your contributions.** Your impact on client outcomes will directly influence your earnings and career advancement.
• - Flexible working hours with the option to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement from our central office in Warsaw.
