Senior AI Engineer – GenAI, Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement **production-grade GenAI solutions** (AI agents, copilots, RAG pipelines) with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Take ownership of the **end-to-end architecture** of AI systems on Azure, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data platforms and backend services.

• Spearhead the creation of **LLM-powered applications** utilizing Azure-native services and contemporary orchestration frameworks.

• Apply **LLMOps practices**, encompassing monitoring, logging, evaluation, prompt/version management, and cost optimization.

• Convert business requirements into **technical AI solutions** and establish scalable implementation strategies.

• Guarantee **security, governance, and compliance** across all AI solutions.

• Enhance AI systems for **latency, cost, and accuracy** in production settings.

• Provide **technical leadership**, mentor engineers, and promote best practices in system design and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a **Senior or Lead Engineer** delivering **production-grade AI/ML or GenAI solutions**.

• Strong hands-on proficiency in **Azure**, including the design and deployment of **end-to-end AI architectures**.

• Familiarity with **Azure AI Foundry**, **Azure OpenAI**, and enterprise AI service integration.

• Substantial experience in building AI agents using the **Microsoft Agent Framework** (or similar frameworks).

• Advanced **Python development skills**, including APIs, backend services, and AI pipelines.

• Extensive experience with **RAG architectures**, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration.

• Experience with **Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and SQL** for data-driven AI solutions.

• Practical experience with **LLMOps / MLOps practices** (monitoring, evaluation, versioning, deployment pipelines).

• Strong comprehension of **system design, scalability, and distributed systems**.

• Proven capability to deliver **measurable impact in production environments** (e.g., automation, cost savings, performance improvements).

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers in a **delivery-focused environment**.
