Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy production-quality AI agents that interact with real users and systems on a large scale.

• Create evaluation, testing, and monitoring systems to guarantee agent reliability, safety, and ongoing enhancement.

• Architect adaptable, modular workflows that facilitate the extension and iteration of AI capabilities.

• Integrate agents with existing backend APIs and data systems, collaborating with backend engineers to expose necessary functionalities.

• Transform initial AI prototypes into scalable, maintainable production systems utilized by millions.

• Assume responsibility for Insight Timer’s GenAI infrastructure, establishing best practices, frameworks, and internal tooling.

• Design data and feedback pipelines to enhance agent performance through real-world usage and, when suitable, fine-tuning.

• Keep up-to-date with emerging agent frameworks and infrastructure methodologies, such as LangGraph, CrewAI, and AutoGen, adopting new techniques that align with product objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least one production system involving AI agents or LLM-based automation.

• Strong foundation in Python. You produce clear, dependable code and understand how to work efficiently without compromising maintainability.

• Solid grasp of software design principles, modular architecture, and system integration.

• Experience in building or managing backend services, APIs, or distributed workflows in a production environment.

• Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or a strong willingness to quickly learn similar systems.

• Comfortable designing evaluation, monitoring, and feedback pipelines to ensure continuous system improvement.

• Excel in a fast-paced setting where practical trade-offs and speed of iteration are crucial.
