Senior AI Engineer at GitLab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

• Contribute to establishing the groundwork for GitLab's shift towards an AI-centric organization

• Analyze how tasks are transferred between teams, tools, and transitions

• Assume responsibility from the initial discovery phase to the deployment of AI projects

• Integrate engineering expertise with systems thinking and a solid understanding of business

• Incorporate AI solutions into the workflows of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support

• Strong expertise in at least one modern scripting language (such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent)

• Extensive, hands-on experience with contemporary AI technologies, especially in prompt engineering

• Knowledge of model selection and trade-offs related to cost and performance

• Practical understanding of the LLM ecosystem

• Analytical thinking regarding AI solutions to establish suitable safeguards

• Capability to examine complex processes and identify constraints

• Acquainted with the landscape of enterprise business systems

• Proficient in engaging in meaningful discussions with stakeholders across various domains

• Proven history of managing intricate projects from inception to completion
