Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance machine learning models, LLM-based functionalities, and agentic workflows that improve the core features of our SaaS platform.

• Construct and optimize solutions utilizing large language models, focusing on prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool-use/function calling, and multi-agent orchestration.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish robust data pipelines and infrastructure that facilitate the training, fine-tuning, and evaluation of AI models.

• Monitor advancements in AI and machine learning, converting promising techniques into actionable enhancements for our platform.

• Contribute to the architecture of AI infrastructure, encompassing model deployment, orchestration, monitoring, and continuous learning pipelines.

• Assess model and system performance using clear metrics, continuously refining for accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability.

• Assist in implementing guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring strategies to ensure AI features operate safely, predictably, and transparently in production.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, while also mentoring junior engineers and data scientists.

• Design systems capable of managing large datasets that integrate seamlessly into DataXstream's existing architecture.

• Supervise the production deployment of AI models and agents, consistently monitoring performance to guarantee reliable operation under real-world conditions.

• Address complex AI challenges across natural language processing, recommendation systems, predictive analytics, and agentic automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of experience in building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in production environments.

• Proficient programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, with the capability to build and integrate AI/ML functionalities within a TypeScript-based product stack.

• Working knowledge of Python for machine learning workflows, including model training, fine-tuning, and experimentation.

• Practical experience with large language models, including prompt engineering, RAG, or fine-tuning.

• Strong understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts, model evaluation, and MLOps practices.

• Experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines for model training and inference.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to lead AI projects from conception through to deployment.

• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
