Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Become a member of our AI team and contribute to the intelligent systems central to Cosuno's platform.

• AI Agent Development: Enhance and develop our agentic system that manages multi-step reasoning to navigate the intricate and often chaotic tendering workflow.

• Deliver end-to-end solutions: Take ownership of features from the model/agent through to the API and TypeScript front-end — encompassing backend service, API, and integration into the web application.

• Ranking, Search & Retrieval: Refine the ranking and retrieval systems that facilitate subcontractor matching and marketplace search functionalities.

• Price Prediction: Enhance models that provide fair pricing estimates for construction projects, aiding users in evaluating bids and making informed procurement decisions.

• Experimentation & Evaluation: Develop offline evaluations, execute online A/B tests, and drive iterations based on metrics.

• Collaborate across teams: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate business challenges into functional ML/AI features.

• Maintain production ML & AI: Oversee monitoring, alerting, and continuous enhancement of all deployed systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong Python: You possess over 5 years of experience writing production-grade Python and produce clean, well-structured code.

• TypeScript, React, Node: Essential. You are adept at delivering end-to-end solutions for our web application — front-end, backend service, and API.

• End-to-end product delivery: You have experience launching features (not just models) into a production web app and have managed the integration from research code to real user experiences.

• LLM application depth: You bring extensive hands-on experience in building and deploying LLM/agent systems — including RAG, tool utilization, multi-step reasoning, and evaluations.

• Backend engineering skills: You are skilled in designing APIs, data pipelines, and services.

• Product mindset: You can navigate ambiguity and discern when something is sufficiently ready for release.

• Sharp problem solver: You analyze complex systems, swiftly identify key issues, and determine the next steps.

• Bias for action: When faced with uncertainty, your instinct is to seek out data rather than remain uncertain.

• Bonus: Familiarity with 'classical' ML foundations.

• Bonus: Experience in building search/ranking/recommendation or price prediction systems.
