Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create applications powered by LLM technology, including copilots, chatbots, and AI agents.

• Develop and enhance RAG and grounded AI systems utilizing enterprise data.

• Oversee the creation of agentic workflows that incorporate tool/function calling and multi-step reasoning.

• Manage backend services and APIs dedicated to AI inference and orchestration.

• Promote and implement LLMOps / GenAIOps practices, including evaluation, monitoring, CI/CD, and versioning.

• Enhance AI systems for optimal quality, cost efficiency, latency, and reliability.

• Advocate for Responsible AI principles and security-by-design methodologies.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and promote best practices in AI engineering.

• Collaborate with product, platform, and security teams to define and refine the AI strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proficient in Python development; familiarity with Java, FastAPI, Django, and contemporary backend frameworks for AI service development.

• Extensive practical experience with LLMs and generative AI systems.

• Strong expertise in RAG, embeddings, Elasticsearch (including vector and hybrid search), and prompt engineering.

• Experience in developing Copilot-style, conversational, and agent-based AI systems.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven design patterns.

• Proficient in working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with LLMOps and MLOps methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience in AI governance, compliance, or regulated enterprise environments.

• Preferred: Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval optimization techniques.

• Preferred: Prior experience managing AI systems in a production environment at scale.
