Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Construct and implement AI-driven features based on the functional and technical specifications provided by TPMs and Principal AI Engineers.

• Create comprehensive AI solutions, encompassing backend services, APIs, and integrations at the application layer.

• Incorporate large language models (LLMs) into operational systems, ensuring they perform well, scale effectively, and maintain reliability.

• Design, test, and enhance prompts to elevate the quality and consistency of outputs.

• Work alongside ML Engineers to integrate models that have been trained or fine-tuned on proprietary datasets into applications.

• Engage in model assessment and validation, ensuring that outputs meet established quality, accuracy, and performance standards.

• Assist in the testing and deployment of AI features via CI/CD pipelines.

• Diagnose and improve AI behaviors in real-world production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development (Python preferred).

• Practical experience with large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs).

• Proficiency in designing and integrating APIs and microservices.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering and techniques for optimizing LLMs.

• Familiarity with model evaluation frameworks and performance metrics.

• Experience collaborating with ML Engineers or deploying ML models in production settings.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and contemporary deployment methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

• Nice-to-Have: Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
