Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement AI-driven features based on functional and technical specifications provided by Technical Project Managers (TPMs) and Principal AI Engineers.

• Create comprehensive end-to-end AI solutions, encompassing backend services, APIs, and integrations at the application layer.

• Incorporate large language models (LLMs) into production environments, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards.

• Design, assess, and refine prompts to enhance output quality and consistency.

• Work in partnership with Machine Learning Engineers to integrate models that have been trained or fine-tuned on proprietary datasets into applications.

• Engage in model evaluation and validation processes, ensuring that outputs align with quality, accuracy, and performance benchmarks.

• Assist with the testing and deployment of AI features through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Diagnose and improve AI behaviors in real-world production contexts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development (Python is preferred).

• Practical experience working with large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs).

• Experience in designing and integrating APIs and microservices.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering and techniques for optimizing LLMs.

• Familiarity with model evaluation frameworks and performance metrics.

• Background in collaborating with Machine Learning Engineers or deploying ML models in production settings.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and contemporary deployment methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Nice-to-Have: Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

• Exposure to fine-tuning models or working with proprietary datasets.

• Familiarity with cloud service platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Experience in building scalable AI/ML systems for production environments.
