This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Enhance and expand our proprietary hybrid engine, concentrating on the interaction between LLM-based reasoning and probabilistic logic.
• Develop and implement high-availability production code in Java and Python, ensuring compliance with security and scalability requirements.
• Oversee and improve our internal evaluation and validation frameworks, encompassing synthetic data generation, automated metric tracking, and model explainability.
• Collaborate with Medical Experts and AI Engineers to convert intricate medical requirements into technical specifications.
• Produce technical documentation for AI components intended for stakeholders and regulatory adherence (e.g., SaMD).
• A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field). A PhD is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Over 3 years of industry experience in AI/ML or algorithmic development.
• Expertise in Python (primarily for AI/Logic) and Java (mainly for backend services).
• Practical knowledge of traditional ML and algorithms, including Probabilistic Graphical Models (PGMs).
• Direct experience with LLMs (preferably including RAG and Agents), with bonus points for experience in validating them in production environments.
• Strong understanding of contemporary DevOps practices (Containerization, CI/CD, Automated Testing) and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
• A significant level of independence and a preference for collaborative peer reviews and thorough documentation.
• Experience in cross-functional teams, with a solid foundation in mathematics, logic, or statistical modeling to facilitate rigorous problem-solving is a plus.
• Familiarity with the healthcare sector or other regulated industries (e.g., ISO 13485, MDR, SaMD), along with knowledge of Kotlin, advanced data visualization, or MLOps would be highly advantageous.
