Senior AI Engineer – AI Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven features and products that have a direct effect on ClickUp users.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to discover opportunities for AI-led innovation and convert user requirements into technical solutions.

• Integrate and manage various LLMs and AI models to provide robust, context-aware, and tailored user experiences.

• Create prototypes, conduct tests, and iterate on new AI features by utilizing user feedback and data for ongoing enhancement.

• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AI-driven features in live environments.

• Keep abreast of the latest AI research and product trends, integrating new advancements into ClickUp’s product roadmap.

• Tackle challenges related to AI privacy, security, and compliance, ensuring the responsible and ethical application of AI in user-facing applications.

• Mentor and guide fellow engineers in best practices for developing AI-enhanced products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying AI-powered features or products within a production setting.

• In-depth knowledge of LLMs and AI models, including their advantages, limitations, and strategies for integration.

• Experience with orchestration frameworks and the integration of multiple AI models to create cohesive user experiences.

• Proven track record in developing evaluation frameworks and metrics for AI features, emphasizing user impact and business value.

• Understanding of AI privacy, security, and compliance best practices.

• Over 5 years of backend and/or full-stack engineering experience, with expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages.

• More than 5 years of experience with PostgresDB, MySQL, or other related databases.

• At least 5 years of familiarity with Elasticsearch or other similar technologies.

• Experience establishing production-ready observability and logging systems.

• Proven ability to collaborate across functions and convert product requirements into technical solutions.

• A strong passion for staying informed about the latest AI research and applying it to address real-world user challenges.

• Exceptional communication and mentorship skills, with a history of influencing product direction and engineering best practices.
